If you try to install Remobo via the software center you get: The package is of bad quality The installation of a package which violates the quality standards isn’t allowed. This could cause Details are: Lintian check results for /tmp/remobo_0.50.3-1_i386.deb: E: remobo: control-file-has-bad-permissions postrm 0775 != 0755 This is a fresh install of beta 2. Thanks for bring this up. It’s our packaging mistake. The Remobo debian’s control files should have permission mode of “0755”, instead of “0775”. We’ll have it fixed in the next release. |

Hi, |

To markinmaine and max71: The latest release of v0.60.0 should have this permission problem fixed. Please try it out and let us know |

I just installed on an Oneric beta 2 box, and it is still complaining that the package is of bad quality (installs and runs perfectly, however), Details offered by the Ubuntu Software Center are: E: remobo: wrong-file-owner-uid-or-gid etc/ 500/500 |

markeelxps: Sorry for the delay. We’re trying to fix it in the next release. |

The next release of Remobo v0.60.2 should be out by end of this month. @max71, which linux distribution & what version have you encountered the problem while installing Remobo? And is it just a warning for you, or does it prevent you from installing Remobo correctly? |
|
|
@gee, my distribution is ubuntu 11.04, I encountered the problem in this version. |
